To switch from MedExpress, compare first-order prices for your dose on Monj or iGovy. Pick a pharmacy you have not used and start its consultation a week before your next dose. Send your label photo and dose dates. Then cancel MedExpress yourself, because joining another pharmacy does not stop MedExpress billing.

Check the price of your next MedExpress order, even if your first order was a good deal. Move only if another suitable pharmacy charges less after all costs. Avoid ending up with two orders or an unclear treatment plan.
Checklist before you leave MedExpress
Check how far your next MedExpress order has gone before a second pharmacy starts another one.
- Account check first
- Next payment, order status and any active subscription.
- Best evidence
- A genuine label plus your recent dose dates.
- Cost trap
- Counting a future reward or an unconfirmed cancellation as money saved.
Looking for a MedExpress refer-a-friend code? Switch instead
A MedExpress referral or new-customer offer is for new customers. Once you have ordered, your next MedExpress order costs the repeat price. A code for the pharmacy you already use will not change that.
Your saving sits at a pharmacy you have not used. Skip the hours in Facebook groups. Use the comparison table below to find the lowest first-order price for your dose. Or use a friend’s link for a pharmacy you have never ordered from. Read why switching beats hunting for codes and how to do it safely each month.
How to cancel MedExpress when you change pharmacy
Cancel MedExpress yourself. Joining another pharmacy does not stop MedExpress billing.
MedExpress’s subscription help page sends you to My subscriptions in your account. The cancel button sits there. The page says the dashboard has no pause option.
MedExpress treats an order waiting for clinical review differently from one already prescribed or sent out. Cancelling gets harder as the order moves on. Check the current order apart from future renewals. If your account status is unclear, ask support what is already committed. Keep a dated cancellation confirmation.
Compare MedExpress prices on Monj, iGovy, Ogovy and Dayo
Use the site for the medicine your prescriber has already agreed. Look at first-order prices for your dose at pharmacies you have not used. Then check the next payable total, after any new-customer offer. These sites help you research prices. They give no reason to change treatment.

Confirm stock, eligibility, delivery fees, repeat prices and any minimum term with the pharmacy you pick. A listed offer is not a personal quote, and approval is never promised. Read how we use these comparison sites. Pharmacy Hopper has no shared ownership with them and gets no payment for recommendations.
How to switch from MedExpress in six steps
- Note where you stand. Save the next quote, payment date, order status and any contract end date.
- Compare the same order. Use the comparison site above, then check the new pharmacy’s full quote.
- Check the new pharmacy. Confirm its registration and support, and whether it can assess your situation. Use our pharmacy checks guide.
- Gather real evidence. Take a photo of the dispensing label (the pharmacy sticker on your box) and collect any records asked for. Give your real dose dates and explain any gaps in treatment.
- Agree the dose and delivery plan. Ask about the next prescription and a realistic delivery date. A new pharmacy does not change your dose by itself. The prescriber (the doctor, nurse or pharmacist who approves your medicine) decides.
- Close MedExpress. Meet the cancellation deadline, confirm the final charge and avoid duplicate orders. Keep the written outcome.
Start the new consultation at least a week before your next dose is due. Approval at the new pharmacy and the MedExpress cancel deadline may not line up, so raise this early with both. Do not expect a same-day handover. Never change your treatment dates to fit a discount code.
Your MedExpress label and dose dates as evidence
A label photo shows the person, medicine, strength, dispensing pharmacy and supply date. The photo does not prove when you last injected or took a tablet. Give the new prescriber those dates separately, including any missed doses.
Joining MedExpress instead? Its switching information page says the team may ask for documents and clinical details. Some clinical updates must go by replying to the request email. Follow the instructions sent to you. Do not upload evidence to a price comparison site.
Does MedExpress referral credit or a retention offer change the sums?
Count only credit confirmed as usable on the order you are comparing. An invite you sent a friend, or a possible future reward, does not pay today’s bill. Read how to value referral credit before you treat credit as a reason to stay.
If MedExpress offers a lower price when you ask, compare the new total honestly. Stay if MedExpress is now the better deal. A past discount does not oblige you to accept a higher next price either.
Will leaving MedExpress save you money?
Net saving = cost of staying, minus the full cost at the new pharmacy, minus extra costs caused by moving. Compare the next order, and a longer period if you have a commitment. The cost worksheet helps you set out the figures.
A repeat quote of £190 against £155 elsewhere suggests £35 saved for the same order. If moving forces an extra £40 charge you cannot avoid, the move ends up £5 more expensive. If you will still use a paid order, count its supply. Do not treat one order as both wasted and replaced.
Count only genuine extra costs. Do not count a payment you have already made twice. Do not treat unused referral credit as cash or assume a future discount. Read the MedExpress discount codes and repeat prices guide for pricing questions.
Message to send MedExpress before you move
Please confirm my current order’s status, whether I can cancel the order and whether any future subscription is still active. Please tell me the last charge and delivery, and how I can get my treatment records.
Send the message through MedExpress’s official contact channel. Keep price and cancellation confirmations with your order records. Send clinical details through the clinical channel. Asking a question does not prove the cancellation is done.
Frequently asked questions
How do I leave MedExpress after my first month?
Compare first-order prices for your dose on Monj or iGovy and pick a pharmacy you have not used. Start its consultation early and send your label photo and dose dates. Then cancel MedExpress under My subscriptions, because joining another pharmacy does not stop MedExpress billing.
Can I use a MedExpress refer-a-friend code as an existing customer?
Usually not. Referral and new-customer offers are for new customers, so your next MedExpress order costs the repeat price. The saving sits at a pharmacy you have not used. Compare first-order prices there, or use a friend’s link for a pharmacy you have never ordered from.
Can I pause my MedExpress subscription?
No. MedExpress’s subscription page says its dashboard has no pause option. Cancelling gets harder once an order moves past clinical review to prescribed or dispatched, so check your current MedExpress order early.
Can I use my MedExpress dispensing label as evidence?
Yes, a clear photo of a genuine MedExpress label helps the new pharmacy’s consultation. The pharmacy may still ask for more records, ID or weight checks, and approval is never promised. The label does not show your last dose date, so give that separately.
Should I stay with MedExpress to use referral credit?
Only if the sums work. Compare what you pay MedExpress after usable credit with the full cost at another pharmacy. A possible future reward does not pay today’s bill, so count only credit confirmed for this order.
