The biggest advertised discount can lose. Add delivery and compulsory fees, and do not assume discounts combine. A referral link only helps at a pharmacy you have not used before. Part of the referral savings handbook (https://pharmacyhopper.co.uk/referral-savings/) · Examples show the sums. They are not live pharmacy prices. ## What “£60 off” does not tell you “£60 off” tells you the cut from one seller’s starting price. The figure says nothing about whether the starting price was fair. Your benchmark is the best quote you can get for the same pack and service. Compare like with like: medicine, form (such as pen or tablet), prescribed strength, quantity, how long the pack lasts, delivery and compulsory charges. If a plan includes extra services, decide whether you need them. Do not treat a different package as the same. ## Use a referral link at a pharmacy you have not used Refer-a-friend discounts are for new customers. A code for the pharmacy you already use does nothing for your next order there. A friend’s link for a different pharmacy, one you have never ordered from, gives you a real first-order discount. Some people who post codes earn credit each time you use one. You can also skip the codes and switch pharmacy every month (https://pharmacyhopper.co.uk/guides/switch-pharmacy-every-month/) to the lowest new-customer price on a comparison site. ## Referral vs voucher vs ordinary price: worked example WORKED EXAMPLE · INVENTED FIGURES Example: same pack and support, no commitment Option | Sum | You pay | Referral | £220 − £60 + £5 delivery | £165 | Public voucher | £180 − £25 + £5 delivery | £160 | Ordinary price elsewhere | £155, delivery included | £155 | The biggest discount loses. The £155 ordinary price is £10 below the referral total. These figures are invented. The same service is assumed only to show the sum. “Never pay full price” is a reminder to check offers. The slogan does not replace comparing final totals. ## Can you combine a referral link and a voucher code? Do not assume so. One link may replace a public code instead of adding to the code. Another offer may exclude delivery or apply only to some services. Check which mix your order allows. Pharmacy2U’s terms (https://www.pharmacy2u.co.uk/about/terms-and-conditions) keep referral conditions apart from normal voucher rules. Read the right section rather than assuming all offers work together. Other pharmacies have their own rules. Get quotes through each pharmacy’s normal process before you pay. You do not need duplicate accounts or several health consultations to test prices. If the options confuse you, ask support to explain the quote. ## Compare the cost over the whole period you are buying Judge a one-off order on its current total. A plan with required repeat orders needs its whole scheduled cost. A rolling plan needs the next price and the cancellation timing, even if you plan to buy one order only. If your prescriber has not agreed future strengths, do not invent a dose schedule to fill a spreadsheet. Use confirmed quotes for your real plan and mark unknown future amounts clearly. ## Referral, voucher or ordinary price: which to pick - Referral wins when the referral lowers that pharmacy’s total and beats other suitable offers. - Public offer wins when the public offer is cheaper and you qualify. - Ordinary price wins when the ordinary price is lower. The missing code makes no difference. - Details missing? If no quote shows what you need, get those details before you decide. Use our two-quote worksheet (https://pharmacyhopper.co.uk/compare/) and three-order cost example (https://pharmacyhopper.co.uk/guides/referral-three-order-cost/) so the first discount does not decide the whole choice. ## Frequently asked questions Is a referral discount always cheaper than an ordinary price? No. In a worked example with invented figures, a £60 referral discount left £165 to pay, while an ordinary price elsewhere was £155 with delivery included. Compare final totals for the same pack. Can I use a refer-a-friend code at the pharmacy I already use? Usually not. Refer-a-friend discounts are for new customers. Use a friend’s referral link for a pharmacy you have not used. Or pick the lowest first-order price on a comparison site such as Monj or iGovy. Can I combine a referral link with a voucher code? Do not assume so. One referral link may replace a public code instead of adding to the code. Pharmacy2U’s terms keep referral conditions apart from normal voucher rules, and other pharmacies have their own rules. What should I compare between pharmacy offers? Compare the medicine, its form, the prescribed strength, quantity, how long the pack lasts, delivery and compulsory charges. For a plan with required repeat orders, include the whole scheduled cost. For a rolling plan, include the next price and cancellation timing. Do I need several accounts to test which pharmacy price is cheapest? No. Get quotes through each pharmacy’s normal process. You do not need duplicate accounts or several health consultations. Ask support to explain a quote if the options are confusing. ## Sources Links checked on 6 October 2026. Provider prices and policies change, so confirm the details with the provider before you pay.
